Dartigalongue 1999 – Bas-Armagnac

The nose is elegant and offers richness, a fine deepness as well as a fine and slightly tight grain. It reveals notes of crushed nectarine, caramelized apple and small notes of crystallized tangerine associated with small touches of crystallized lemon, slight hints of caramelization, a discreet hint of gray pepper as well as a subtle hint of rancio / tobacco and an imperceptible hint of dried plum (in the background). The palate is fruity, elegant, well-balanced, a bit tight and offers a juicy / slightly acidulous frame, precision, a fine tension as well as a fine and slightly tight grain. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of caramelized mandarin, caramelized lemon and small notes of lemon zest, juicy lychee associated with fine touches of juicy green apple as well as a discreet hint of apple blossoms and a subtle hint caramelization / chocolate. Good length. Good persistence with a subtle hint of cedar and almond.
