Dartigalongue 1893  – Bas-Armagnac

(40°) The nose is relatively powerful and offers a very beautiful finesse as well as nobility. It reveals slight notes of candied orange zests, cedar and hints of candied lemon zests associated with a subtle hint of aged aok/barrel cellar, a slight hint of apricot, Timut pepper, caramel as well as a very discreet hint of flowers (which brings freshness), peat, a slight woody hint, a very discreet/imperceptible hint of roasting and a subtle hint of sweet spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers deepness, roundness, a beautiful tension, freshness, gourmandise as well as a beautiful delicacy. In the mouth this Armagnac expresses fine notes of candied orange, dried vine peach, caramelization and a slight/discreet hint of candied lemon associated with touches of tobacco/cigar, a woody hint as well as slight touches of tobacco (in the background) and a very discreet hint of dry fruits (in the background). Good length and gourmand persistence with slight hints of cedar, candied orange zests and a discreet hint of leather. Nice persistence.
