Darioush – Cabernet Franc 2015 Signature – Napa Valley

The nose is fruity and offers a slight concentration as well as a very slight freshness. It reveals notes of elderberries, wild berries and crushed blackberries combined with slight hints of ripe red bell pepper, spices, tonka bean as well as a discreet hint of flowers. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a slight acid frame, finesse, a very slight straightness, a small tension, roundness, suavity, a beautiful fat as well as a slight freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed blackberry, black cherry and small notes of crushed cassis associated with slight touches of small red berries, discreet hints of ripe red bell pepper as well as slight hints of flowers and spices. Tannins are fine and a bit mellow. Good length. Beautiful and gourmande persistence with hints of tonka bean, caramelization as well as on a hint of toasted hazelnut.
