Curto Marco – laFoia 2012 – Barolo  DOCG

The nose is fruity, gourmand and offers a fine richness/concentration. It reveals notes of tonka bean/cacao, blackberry, crème de cassis and strawberry associated with slight hints of fresh raspberry, sweet spices as well as a subtle hint of graphite and an imperceptible hint of Sichuan pepper in the background. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, suave, dense, tight and offers fat, a slight acid frame, a very slight freshness as well as a slight concentration. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of creme de cassis, blackberry and small notes of fresh red fruits (raspberry, srawberry) associated with a subtle hint of garrigue/olive tree as well as smalll notes of chocolate, caramelized oak and sweet spices. Tannins are fine and slightly dry. Good length. Very beautiful, gourmand and suave persistence. There are a touch of chocolate, a hint of vanilla and almond on the aftertaste.
