The nose is elegant, fine and fruity. It reveals notes of blackberry, black cherry and fine notes of truffle, smoke associated with a few small notes of mocha, slight notes of flowers, tobacco, leather and a touch of laurel. The palate is fruity, balanced, fresh, harmonious, suave, gourmande, nicely fat and offers a beautiful silky matter, a racy minerality and a small tension. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of cherry, blackberry and slight notes of raspberry associated with slight notes of black cherry, sweet spices (in the background), mocha, black olive (in the background) as well as slight notes of toasted oak and touches of liquorice on the finish. Tannins are fine, supple and elegant. Good length and persistence. The finish is more softened with time (aeration). A beautiful and well done wine! Perhaps there is slightly less matter in mouth than on other vintages. It will be interesting to taste again this wine in a 8/10 years.
