Cossetti – Crivelletto 2016, Castelnuovo Belbo – Nizza DOCG

On the nose it is fruity and offers concentration, a fine grain, a fine sandy character in its power and minerality. It reveals notes of crushed redcurrant, cherry and more slightly pulpy blackcurrant associated with fine hints of liquorice, star anise, a discreet hint of sweet spices and pepper. The palate is fruity and offers smoothness, roundness, fat, a tangy frame, good structure and a nice tangy flavor. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy / juicy cherry, crushed redcurrant and more slightly violet associated with touches of violet plum, zan / cardamom, with a subtle hint of caramelization and pepper. A fine saline hint on the finish / persistence.
