Cosentino – Cabernet Franc Reserve 2013 – St Helena – Napa Valley

(80% Cabernet Franc, 20% Merlot) The nose is fruity as well as relatively fine and fresh. It reveals notes of cassis concentrate, blackberry and touches of blueberry associated with discreet hints of raspberry and flowers. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced, relatively fat and a good volume, juiciness and freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry and touches of plum associated with a hint of blueberry, cassis as well as a very discreet hint of bell pepper and fine touches of pepper. Tannins are fine, well-built and very slightly firm. Good length and juicy persistence.
