Corty Artisan – Caillottes 2021 – Pouilly-Fumé

The wine has a pale lemon color. The nose offers pure fruit, as well as fine floral and mineral aromas. It expresses notes of fresh citrus fruits (ripe lemon, grapefruit, lemon), gooseberries, crunchy stone fruits (white peach, green plum), white flowers (honeysuckle, acacia), slight herbal notes (fresh thyme), as well as delicate minerality (bass, and more slightly – chalk). On the palate, the wine offers smoothness and a very slight sweetness, balanced by a lively acidity. It expresses the flavors of ripe citrus fruits (yellow lemon, grapefruit zest) and citrus jam, as well as sweet notes of stone fruits (yellow peach, apricot), white flowers (apple blossom, acacia) and a mineral hint in the background (limestone). Good acidity, length and a pleasant bitterness on the finish. A wine with good structure and freshness.
