Contos da Terra 2014 – Douro

The nose is fruity, relatively powerful and finely velvety. It reveals notes of blackberry, sour cherry and fine notes of red berries combined with touches of strawberry, spices and a hint of eucalyptus. The palate is fruity, a bit silky and offers a nice juiciness, a tannic structure, a fine acid frame and suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis and slight notes of strawberry, black cherry associated with fine touches of red cherry as well as a hint of coffee, a few discreet oaky notes and eucalyptus. Tannins are fine and racy. Good length. The finish is persistent (small juicy berries).
