The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is gourmand and offers a beautiful concentration of fruit. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, morello cherry, roasted red cherry, crushed raspberry, associated with delicate and integrated roasted touches (dark chocolate, toasted hazelnut in the background, a hint of coffee), refreshed by herbaceous and floral touches (fresh rose, iris, wild mint, a hint of rosemary and a very light touch of bergamot tea), as well as by a spicy minty and slightly sappy hint (liquorice, even star anise in the background, pine sap) and a touch of tar. The palate is juicy and fruity, but at the same time structured and firm. The tight, fine and powdery tannins, but rather dry, appear from the attack, accompanied by a bitterness of cocoa and a racy limestone minerality. We also find notes of tangy red fruits (cranberries, raspberry, tangy strawberry in the background, blackcurrant), associated with a fresh herbaceous touch (dried peppermint, rosemary, a hint of pine needles), a bouquet of dried flowers (dried rose, dried cornflower), a hint of liquorice, as well as a toasted side that appears rather on the persistence (toasted hazelnut skin, coffee). Good length on the tanginess and aslight bitterness of the cranberries and a beautiful salivating acidity.
