The nose is fruity, concentrated, powerful and very ripe. It reveals notes of very ripe cassis, very ripe red currants and very ripe blackberries associated with small raspberry hints, minerality, liquorice stick, Sichuan pepper, violet as well as some slight hints of spices. The palate is fruity and offers a slight juiciness, a slight minerality, a very slight acid frame (in the background) as well as a small suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy / very ripe blackberries, crushed cassis and small notes of juicy plum associated with small touches of raspberry / red berries, violet, licorice as well as slight hints of dark chocolate / cocoa, tobacco, spices and toasted wood. Tannins are fine, very slightly tightened and a small firm. Good length.
