Confidence de Prieuré-Lichine 2016 – Margaux

Confidence de Prieuré-Lichine 2016 – Margaux

The nose is powerful and fruity. It reveals notes of wild blackberry and wild strawberry associated with small touches of Cuben pepper, nutmeg, spices as well as hints of liquorice and a very discreet hint of vanilla (in the background). The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers tension, a good definition, a beautiful fat, a silky material, power, a small aerial side as well as an acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, crushed cassus and small touches of chocolate, toasted, sweet spices associated with discreet hints of caramelization, coffee, juicy/fresh blueberry (in the background) as well as an imperceptible hint of coffee and toasted/grilled oak (in the background). Tannins are fine and structured.
