The nose is aromatic, elegant and offers a small power, a slight richness, silkiness as well as intensity. The wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of ripe / fleshy wild berries, redcurrant, gray pepper and small notes of cassis, crushed strawberry combined with slight touches of laurel berries / olive tree, cherry pit, juicy blackberry, toasted touches, liquorice as well as a very discreet hint of spices and blond tobacco. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, elegant and offers a beautiful acid frame, good definition, a slight minerality, suavity, a beautiful fleshy / crunchy fruit, a good guideline, a beautiful finesse, a good freshness, roundness as well as fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe / crunchy redcurrant, raspberry, cherry pit and small notes of blackberry, cassis associated with a slight touch of Quetsche plum, acidulous / ripe fruits, liquorice / colas, black olive as well as subtle touches of sweet spices. Tannins are well-built. Good length. There are an imperceptible hint of undergrowth and an imperceptible hint of almond / hazelnut on the finish.
