Clos Saint-Vincent  2016 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fresh, fruity and offers a beautiful concentration as well as a slight gourmandise. It reveals fine notes of fresh/ripe blackberry and fresh/ripe strawberry associated with slight hints of blueberry as well as a discreet hint of licorice and slight hints of minted licorice. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced, racy (terroir, clay) and offers a beautiful tension, a slight concentration as well as a great freshness/deepness. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fresh/ripe blackberry, raspberry and slight notes of blueberry associated with a discreet hint of red berries, licorice as well as slight woody notes. Tannins are fine and polished. Good length and beautiful persistence. There is a very discreet hint of crushed hazelnut.
