Clos Puy Arnaud 2021 – Castillon Côtes-de-Bordeaux

The nose is fresh and reveals some intensity/power and varietal. There are notes of fresh/crisp boysenberry, peony and more lightly lilac combined with hints of pulpy strawberry, sweet spice, a subtle hint of cinnamon and a discreet touch of pepper. The palate is fresh, mineral, fruity and reveals energy, definition and a tangy texture. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, raspberry and more lightly fresh/pulpy cherry notes combined with hints of fresh lilac/lys as well as a fine varietal quality and a discreet hint of fresh spice. Sapidity. A fine saline edge and good bitterness in the background. Good length. The tannins are fine and mellow.
