Clos La Providence 2021 – Bordeaux Supérieur

Clos La Providence 2021 – Bordeaux Supérieur

The nose is spicy, intense, fine grained and tight. There are notes of wild blackcurrant, fresh/ripe red berries and more lightly spiced with a hint of pepper and a subtle hint of clove and fresh flowers/peony. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, a mineral backbone, good definition, a certain gourmandize, precision, tension, accuracy, finesse, roundness as well as a little airiness in its balance. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of tart/juicy blackcurrant, blackberry and more lightly tart/pulpy red berries combined with fine points of fresh cherry, a hint of lily and fine points of liquorice and a discreet hint of toastiness. Good length. Good work on the bitter taste, especially on the finish.
