The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose expresses pronounced peppery notes (black pepper rather than white pepper), a juicy fruitiness (bigarreau cherry, crushed raspberry, red currant, elderberry, crunchy strawberry), as well as a touch of wild rose and dried cornflower. On the palate, the wine offers energy, tangy fruit (bigarreau cherry, cranberries, red currants, raspberry, elderberry), a touch of wild rose and a peppery hint (black pepper), which is also on the nose and which returns at the end of the palate, accompanied by a herbaceous touch of rose leaf. The tannins are present, a bit grippy, but not drying. The finish offers good persistence, a slight bitterness and the tanginess of cassis.
