The wine has a pale garnet color. The nose is reserved at first and requires aeration. It then expresses a subtle floral notes (dried rose, wilted rose, wilted peony), associated with herbaceous hints (dried mint, fresh bouquet garni, tobacco), delicate tertiary aromas (undergrowth, wet leaves, fresh mushrooms in the background), as well as notes of fresh (crushed wild strawberry, crushed strawberry), torrefaction (roasted red cherry, roasted red plum) and dried (dried cherry, dried raspberry) fruits and a savoury spiciness (nutmeg, white pepper, licorice). On the palate, the wine offers a certain volume, freshness and juiciness: we find notes of ripe fruit (morello cherry, crushed wild strawberry), torrefaction (roasted red cherry, roasted raspberry) and cherry jam in the background, associated with delicate tertiary notes (less pronounced than on the nose) of undergrowth, wilted rose and mushrooms, spicy hints (nutmeg, licorice) and herbaceous touches (tobacco, roasted bouquet garni), as well as a light touch of smoke in the background. The tannins are melted, powdery and supple. The finish is persistent, with fresh acidity and a gourmandise of roasted fruits and sweet spices. Beautiful complexity, delicacy and harmony.
