Clos du Clocher 2018 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a certain intensity, power and a beautiful fleshy fruit. It reveals notes of fleshy blackberry, small pulpy wild berries, small notes of plum associated with touches of raspberry, cherry as well as fine hints of toasted, spices, tobacco and a discreet hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers freshness, minerality, an acidulous frame as well as a beautiful definition, dynamism and a fine/very discreetly tight grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/ripe raspberry, ripe cherry, small notes of juicy/acidulous cassis associated with touches of plum, violet as well as discreet hints of tonka bean, cardamom, tobacco, a subtle hint of toasted and a discreet hint of pepper. A very fine chew on the persistence. Tannins are well-built.
