Clos des Jacobins 2021 – Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

Clos des Jacobins 2021 – Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

The nose is racy, precise, powerful and shows some fine grain and a pungent edge. There are notes of wild strawberry, wild blackberry and more lightly wild red berries combined with hints of blackcurrant, violet as well as fine hints of sweet blond tobacco, a subtle hint of hazelnut, plum blossom and sweet spices. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, smoothness, a nice definition, freshness, minerality, energy, a nice roundness, unctuousness, a nice work on the mid-palate. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy raspberry, creamy red berry and more lightly pulpy/fresh violet plum combined with hints of violet, bright blackcurrant as well as hints of bourbon vanilla, tonka bean and fine vanilla, salinity (in the background). A classic style, fresh and with a nice substance and texture.
