The nose is fine, fruity, elegant and relatively gourmand. It reveals notes of blackberry jam, cassis and slight notes of blueberry associated with a hint of Zan, a toasted hint as well as discreet notes of caramel. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced, nicely fresh and offers a good density, definition, a beautiful texture as well as a beautiful, silky and relatively unctuous matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry cream, plum and slight notes of cassis associated with a discreet hint of fig (in the background), cherry, chocolate as well as slight notes of toasted oak, tobacco and a discreet hint of Sichuan pepper. Tannins are fine, elegant and ripe (for an EnPrimeur wine). Good length and persistence with slight notes of liquorice.
