The nose is fine and complex. It reveals notes of blackberries, cassis, red berries and licorice associated with touches of tobacco and flowers. The palate is fruity, ample, fresh, balanced, a bit gourmand and offers suavity and fat. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis and a slight touch of liquorice combined with a hint of red fruit, chocolate as well as a few notes of sweet spices (vanilla) and licorice on the finish / persistence. Tannins are fine, well-made and very slightly firm. Good length and persistence. The finish / persistance is a bit powerful.
