Clos Bertineau, Merlot 2020 – Montagne Saint-Emilion

Clos Bertineau, Merlot 2020 – Montagne Saint-Emilion

The nose is spicy and offers a fine power/concentration and freshness. There are notes of wild strawberry, black pepper and slightly blackberry, combined with hints of camphor, fresh leather and a hint of tea/spice. The palate is fresh and offers minerality, juiciness, suavity, a certain roundness, some airiness and a certain lightness in its substance. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, fresh raspberry and more slightly creamy berry notes combined with hints of minerality, flowers, chocolate and a touch of fresh tobacco and fresh leather/spice. Fresh!
