Clavelier 2018 – Gevrey-Chambertin

The nose is fruity and offers a fine power. It reveals notes of small wild berries, redcurrant, small notes of fresh/crunchy cherry associated with fine touches of blackberry, nutmeg, sweet spices and fine hints of pepper. The palate is fruity and juiciness, an acidulous frame, a small fat, a very fine straightness as well as dynamism and a small tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/acidulous redcurrant, juicy/crunchy cherry, small notes of strawberry associated with touches of violet, lily as well as fine hints of zan, very discreet hints of sweet spices and an imperceptible hint of laurel. Tannins are very discreetly firm. Good length. A subtle hint of toasted/caramelized almond on the finish/persistence.
