Clark-Claudon Vineyards – Eternity 2012 – Napa Valley

(97% Estate Cabernet, 3% Estate Petit Verdot) The nose is fruity, intense, relatively powerful and offers a certain juiciness of the fruit. It reveals notes of black fruits, cassis and boysenberry associated with slight notes of very ripe wild strawberry, wood, sweet spices and a discreet hint of cornflower. The palate is fruity, rich and offers suavity, a nice juiciness, a good tannic structure, opulence as well as a beautiful and silky matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed blackberries, fine notes of strawberry and a touch of cassis associated with slight hints of cherry and touches of liquorice. There are notes of coffee, toasted oak, fine notes of hazelnut and caramelization on the finish / persistence. Tannins are elegant, harmonious and firm. Good length and good persistence.
