Ciabot Berton – Roggeri 2013 – Barolo

The nose is aromatic, finely powerful and offers elegance and concentration. It reveals notes of blackberry and wild berries associated with fine touches of garrigue, ripe wild strawberry, blackberry as well as touches of spices, violet and a hint of gray pepper. The mouth is juicy, fresh, well-balanced, racy, mineral, well-structured and offers a good definition, a fine acid frame, finesse, a good suavity, finesse, a beautiful roundness, generosity and tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of wild blackberry, wild strawberry and small wild red berries associated with fine touches of sweet spices, vanilla / toasted touches, garrigue, a hint of black olive as well as a very discreet touch of gray pepper and violet. Tannins are fine and (very) slightly firm. Good persistence. There is a discreet touch of hazelnut on the aftertaste.
