The nose is elegant, gourmand, slightly powerful and offers a beautiful grain. It reveals notes of crushed cassis, boysenberry and ripe / fleshy wild strawberries combined with slight touches of redcurrant, gray pepper, flowers, olive as well as a discreet hint of grove, touches of spices and a very discreet touch of Lapsang Souchong tea. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced and offers a slight acid frame, a slight juiciness, elegance, a slight goumandise as well as a small tension. On the palate this Porto expresses notes of cassis, sour cherry, blueberry and small wild berries / redcurrants associated with slight touches of flowers, dark chocolate, olive as well as very slight touches of Bourbon vanilla, pâtisseries and a very discreet / imperceptible hint of laurel. Good length. The finish and the aftertaste are a bit powerful. A beautiful, fruity, fine and well defined Port wine !
