Christian Drouin – 1990 – Calvados Pays d’Auge

The nose is elegant and powerful. It reveals notes of red apple and red peach associated with small notes of violet, gray pepper, dried zest, saffron and a very discreet hint of dried tobacco. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced, elegant and offers a good definition, a mineral frame, precision as well as a beautiful suavity. On the palate this Calvados expresses notes of stewed peach, applesauce and small notes warm apple associated with small touches of fleshy / juicy mirabelle plum, caramelization as well as a very discreet / imperceptible hint of citrus (in the background). Good length.
