Chevalier de Lascombes 2021 – Margaux

Chevalier de Lascombes 2021 – Margaux

The nose is fruity, fresh and accessible. There are notes of fresh/crisp blackcurrant, blackberry and, more slightly, fresh cherry, combined with hints of violet, fine hints of liquorice, discreet floral/almost oleander hints and discreet zan. The palate is fruity and reveals minerality, freshness, good definition, a certain gourmandize, precision, a linear character (in the sense of elegance), an acidic backbone, a little straightness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fresh blackcurrant, juicy/fresh raspberry and, more slightly, crunchy red berries combined with hints of lily, blackberry, zan, a fine touch of chocolate/cocoa, and fine hints of toasted almond. The palate is gourmand and has a very fine chewiness on the finish/persistence. The tannins are precise, fine and already show a certain suppleness.
