Château Yon-Figeac 2021 – Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity and reveals concentration, fine intensity and freshness. There are notes of boysenberry, bright wild blackcurrant and more lightly of wild berries combined with fine touches of camphor, grey pepper, spices and a fine floral touch and very discreet hints of sweet blond tobacco. The palate offers minerality, tension, linearity, good definition, accuracy and straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh wild raspberry, fresh blackberry plus a hint of racy/terroir minerality combined with hints of fresh tobacco, camphor, sweet spice, a fine touch of fresh flowers as well as a discreet hint of fresh/pulpy small red berries and a subtle hint of star anise in the background. Good length. A very discreet hint of toastiness and salinity in the background. The tannins are finely firm.
