Château Villemaurine 2019 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

The nose is aromatic, fruity, racy and offers a nice texture as well as a fine power. It reveals notes of pulpy blackcurrant, crushed blackberry and more slightly associated with touches of crushed strawberry as well as hints of caramelization, camphor, sweet blond tobacco and a subtle hint of pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, a tangy / fresh frame, delicacy, richness in mastery / delicacy, gourmandize, roundness as well as a very fine unctuosity. Richness in finesse and mastery. On the palate this wine expresses notes of Boysenberry, pulpy blackcurrant, crushed strawberry and more slightly cornflowers associated with touches of caramelization, chocolate as well as a subtle hint of racy minerality, sweet blond tobacco and a hint of cardamom. Tannins are elegant. Pretty freshness and gourmandize. Good length. A subtle sapidity on the finish. Presence of a hint of chocolate on the persistence.
