Château Verdignan 2021 – Haut-Médoc

Château Verdignan 2021 – Haut-Médoc

The nose is fruity, with concentration, fine intensity and a spicy edge. There are notes of ripe wild blackberry, fleshy strawberry and a hint of sweet spice combined with fine nutmeg, crushed berries and a discreet hint of camphor, toasted almond and a subtle vanilla. The palate is fresh, mineral and offers acidity, good definition, a certain gourmandize as well as an acidic backbone. On the palate this wine expresses fresh/acidic blackberry, crisp cherry and slightly juicy/fresh red currant notes with hints of lily, racy minerality and a discreet hint of nutmeg and almond. The tannins are straightforward. Nice acidity on the finish.
