Château Tour Perruchon L’Exception 1600 2021 – Lussac Saint-Emilion

The nose is aromatic and demonstrates a fine grain and a certain power. There are notes of boysenberry, fleshy wild strawberry and slightly toasted bread combined with fine touches of fleshy/pulpy blue berries as well as delicate nuances of grey pepper, a subtle hint of spice and toasted almond. The palate is fruity and shows juiciness, freshness, good definition, a certain gourmandize, a fresh/mineral backbone and a nice focus of the fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, raspberry and more lightly bright cherry combined with touches of blueberry, crushed berries as well as hints of toasted bread, toasted almond, a discreet touch of incense and toasted hazelnut. Good length.
