The nose is fruity, elegant, aromatic and offers some complexity. There are notes of black cherry, violet and, more slightly, crunchy violet plum combined with hints of crushed currants, fine hints of liquorice and a discreet touch of lilac and sweet tobacco. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, freshness, good definition, a certain gourmandise, fresh acidity, a good guideline and a good tannic structure. On the palate this wine expresses morello cherry, blueberry and slightly crunchy blackberry notes combined with hints of pulpy raspberry as well as fine lily, fresh blond tobacco, saline gravel/racy minerality and discreet hints of sweet spice. The tannins are elegant, racy and structuring. A subtle hint of mocha in the background. Good length. A great success!
