Château Tour de Pez 2019 – Saint-Estèphe Cru Bourgeois

The nose is aromatic, fruity and offers a controlled power, a small straightness as well as a certain concentration and harmony. It reveals notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry, fleshy/pulpy cassis, small notes of fleshy raspberry associated with touches of crushed red berries, strawberry, violet, a racy minerality as well as hints of timut pepper, fine hints of caramelization, cardamom and toasted. The palate is fruity, gourmand, elegant and offers a beautiful definition of the fruit, juiciness, harmony, an aromatic purity of the fruit, a fine tension and a racy minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/ripe raspberry, juicy/ripe garriguette strawberry, small notes of pulpy blackberry associated with fine touches of pulpy/juicy violet plum, violet, lily as well as fine hints of zan, mild tobacco, nutmeg and a very discreet iodine hint. Good length. Sapidity on the finish/persistence. Tannins are structuring.
