Château Tour Castillon 2021 – Médoc Cru Bourgeois

The nose is aromatic, spicy and reveals precision, good definition, power and a racy texture. There are notes of black cherry, violet and, to a lesser extent, pepper, combined with hints of bright red berries, as well as fine bergamot and a discreet hint of saltiness. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, juiciness, delicacy in its volume, a certain amount of tension, juiciness as well as a nice bright fruit/purity in its fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackcurrant, boysenberry and more lightly fresh cherry combined with bright red berry fruit hints of fresh lily, fresh violet as well as fine points of light tobacco, cardamom and a subtle hint of chocolate and crushed almond. Good length. Some chewiness on the finish/persistence. Nice freshness and smoothness.
