The nose is fruity and offers power as well as concentration. It reveals notes of cassis, cherry cream and slight touches of wild fruit combined with subtle hints of small berries, liquorice, spices, a discreet minty hint as well as an imperceptible touch of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, well defined and offers a nice mineral frame, a slight freshness, a slight depthness, racy minerality and fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed red cherry, fleshy redcurrant / blackberry and cassis associated with a subtle hint of plum, slight / discreet touches of flowers as well as a discreet toasted hint / chocolate and licorice. Tannins are firm and slightly dry. Good length.
