Château Tessendey 2020 – Fronsac

The nose offers gourmandise, a certain elegance as well as a fleshy / pulpy fruit. It reveals notes of fleshy cherry, violet and slight hints of bright blackcurrant associated with touches of cornflower, lily as well as hints of zan and jammy currants. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, smoothness, an acid structure, minerality, some fattnes, roundness, good definition and a nice concentration. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, violet and slight hints of blueberry associated with touches of crushed raspberry, jammy currants, hints of lily, racy minerality as well as a subtle varietal hint (in the background) and star anise. Nice freshness. Good length. A very discreet hint of tonka bean in the background.
