Château St Jean de Lavaud 2020 – Lalande-de-Pomerol 

On the nose it is fruity, offers intensity, fine grain, richness and a little bit of substance. It reveals the notes of pulpy blackberry, juicy/ripe cassis and more slightly fleshy strawberry combined with hints of violet, crushed blueberry as well as hints of fresh vanilla bean, fine hints of sweet spices, szechuan pepper, very discreet hints of dark chocolate and an imperceptible hint of coffee. On the mouth it is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, minerality, good definition as well as a fine gourmandize, with a fine tension, suavity and a certain roundness. The wine express the notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, bright raspberry and more lightly crushed small red currant combined with hints of lilac, lily as well as hints of tonka bean, chocolate, fine hints of fresh almond, varietal elements and a subtle hint of pepper.
