The nose is elegant, fresh, fruity and reveals density and elegance. There are notes of boysenberry, crushed redcurrant and, more slightly, violet combined with touches of bigarreau cherry as well as hints of toastiness and a subtle touch of fresh nutmeg. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, gourmandize, suavity, a mineral backbone, energy, finesse, a fine grain and a little linearity. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, fleshy/juicy raspberry and more lightly fresh violet notes combined with hints of fresh cherry, gravel as well as fine tips of lily, sweet blond tobacco. Good length. The tannins are precise and straightforward.
