Château Smith Haut Lafitte 2020 – Pessac-Léognan

Château Smith Haut Lafitte 2020 – Pessac-Léognan

Nice powdery, aromatic, complex nose that offers power, finesse, delicacy and depth. The wine wins by being decanted. It reveals notes of violet, bright blackcurrant, morello cherry and slight hints of wild blueberry associated with touches of small red fruits, hints of fresh blond tobacco, cuben pepper and a discreet hint of cardamom, spices and a discreet almost charcoal hint. The palate is mineral, fruity and offers gourmandise, a nice silkiness, depth and a coating fatness. Beautiful silky richness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, crushed wild berries, camphor, Bourbon vanilla and subtle hints of toasted hazelnut. The tannins are supple, elegant and tasty. Good length. A discreet hint of good bitterness, a lot of palatability, suppleness and subtlety.
