Château Sanctus 2021 – Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

Château Sanctus 2021 – Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, elegant, nicely racy and reveals a lovely finesse of grain, delicacy. There are notes of bright boysenberry, morello cherry and more slightly pulpy/fresh blackcurrant, strawberry combined with a hint of fruit, a discreet touch of liquorice. The palate is nicely juicy and offers generosity of fruit, brightness, a nice freshness, an almost airy approach, a fine crispness, an acidic backbone. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/pulpy blackberry, bright strawberry and more lightly lily/iris combined with fine notes of ripe red berries, a subtle hint of blueberry, liquorice and vanilla. Good length. Nice work on the good bitter taste.
