The nose is fruity and offers a nice fine texture, intensity in control as well as power in freshness. There are notes of fairly ripe wild cassis, fairly ripe wild blackberry and more slightly zan associated with touches of violet, small red fruits / crushed red currants, with fine hints of camphor, paprika, with tips of chocolate, toasted hazelnut as well as a subtle hint of cinnamon and pepper. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers freshness, minerality, a juicy / fresh frame, acidity, elegance as well as a little chiseled side. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy raspberry, cassis and more slightly of juicy / ripe wild strawberry associated with touches of licorice, cornflower, a fine hint of purple plum, chocolate, toast as well as ‘with a subtle hint of cinnamon, star anise and caramelization. Tannins are precise, refined and structured. Good length and beautiful continuity. A fine chew on the finish/persistence.
