Château Rouquette sur Mer – Cuvée Amarante 2018 – La Clape

The nose reveals notes of small pulpy wild black berries, dry violet plum, small notes of black olive associated with small touches of camphor, crushed strawberry, small wild blue fruits as well as fine hints of grey pepper, spices and a very discreet hint of sense of the place (local biotope). The palate is fruity, well-balanced, silky and offers suavity, a certain delicacy, fat, a beautiful matter as well as a fine freshness and a small acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/pulpy cassis, pulpy/crushed blackberry, small notes of cherry associated with touches of small wild blue fruits, crushed redcurrant, black olive, liquorice stick, chocolate as well as a hint of camphor, cardamom and a very discreet hint of sense of the place. Tannins are fine and supple. Very fine hints of caramelization on the persistence.
