The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose has expressive aromas of small red fruits (tangy red cherry, red currant, raspberry, cranberries) with a hint of salinity. There are also very slight toasted and smoky notes, with subtle hints of spices (white pepper, liquorice, nutmeg) and garrigue. On the palate, the attack is on the sweetness of cherries in jam, and cranberry syrup. In the mid-palate, the wine expresses notes of ripe black fruit (morello cherry, blackberry) and crème de cassis, refreshed by hints of salinity and aromatic herbs (bay leaf, thyme, and rosemary) as well as very slight notes of smoke. and licorice. The tannins are supple, melted at a medium (+) level, enveloped by the concentration in the mouth and the flesh of the wine. The acidity is energetic, of a medium (+) level. The finish is long and fresh: first with notes of tangy black fruits (blueberry, blackcurrant) and crème de cassis, then – with notes of spices (liquorice, white pepper), herbs (dried mint, rosemary), and a very pleasant hint of salinity. A complex, precise, well-balanced, and generous wine.
