Château Rouget 2010 – Pomerol

The nose is aromatic and offers harmony and a certain power. It reveals notes of blackberry, mushroom, small notes of quite ripe strawberry associated with touches of truffle, small quite ripe blue fruits, pepper as well as a saline hint, spices and toasted. The palate is fruity, mineral and offers gourmandize, an acidulous frame, tension as well as a fine straightness, a small fat and fullness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe cassis, ripe plum, small notes of quite ripe strawberry associated with touches of underwood, chocolate, toasted hazelnut as well as a hint of toasted almond, truffle and a discreet hint of pepper. Tannins are precise and structuring. Good length.
