Château Roubine – Lion & Dragon 2014 – Côtes de Provence – Cru Classé

Château Roubine – Lion & Dragon 2014 – Côtes de Provence – Cru Classé

The nose is fine, elegant, fruity, finely gourmand and offers power (but full of finesse) as well as a fine intensity. It reveals notes of crushed cassis, crushed blackberry and slight notes of crushed fleshy strawberry associated with touches of gray pepper, black olive, garrigue, an imperceptible hint of lavender as well as discreet touches of chocolate, spices and liquorice. The palate is fruity, juicy, mineral, elegant, fine, well-balanced and offers delicacy, a beautiful suavity, a beautiful definition, a fine acid frame (in the background), a silky matter as well as a very slight freshness (in the background). In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy cassis, juicy black cherry and fleshy strawberry associated with touches of blackberry, blueberry, licorice, black olive, caramelized oak as well as a very discreet touch of vanilla and a hint of black pepper on the finish. Tannins are fine and elegant. Good length.
