The nose is fruity, racy and reveals freshness. There are notes of fresh boysenberry/blackberry, fairly ripe/fresh red berries and a hint of cardamom combined with hints of racy minerality, a hint of fresh violet as well as discreet spice and a subtle touch of nutmeg. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, a nice acidic backbone, good definition, some greediness, tension and a nice acidity. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/fresh cherry, crunchy red berry and more lightly violet notes combined with mineral, fine toasted/grilled almond and tonka bean notes. Some straightness on the finish/persistence.
