Château Rolland-Maillet 2020 – Saint-Emilion

On the nose it is fruity and offers juiciness and a nice fruit. It reveals notes of juicy/fresh raspberries, bright strawberries and more lightly fresh berry associated to hints of fresh blackcurrant, cherry blossom, hints of fresh liquorish, a subtle hint of fresh tabaco/hazelnut. On the palate is fruity, juicy and offers freshness, a small pulpy, flesh, a nice juicy/fleshy/generous fruit, as well as a certain deepness and a good definition. The wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy strawberry, pulpy raspberry and more lightly violet associated to touches of fleshy/fresh blackcurrant as well as a hint of blueberry, vanilla, chocolate, and fine hints of almonds (in the background). Good length. The tannins are precise and finely soft.
