Château Rolland-Maillet 2012 – Saint-Emilion

The nose is fruity, delicate and relatively mineral. It reveals notes of cassis, plum and touches of blackberry associated with a hint of strawberry as well as a fine hint of undergrowth, mocha and fine touch of tobacco. The palate is fruity, gourmande, quite elegant, well structured, relatively fat and offers a beautiful precision of the fruit, volume as well as a good and unctuous matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, crushed strawberries and fine notes of plum associated with a discreet hint of cherry, fine notes of licorice, tobacco, a hint of oak, a discreet hint of bell pepper as well as a discreet touch of mocha. Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length.
